highlights from october

i have so much to write, but i don't know where to start...ok here are a few hightlights from OcToBeR:

such a shame the music school went under...but DO NOT try to put blame on other people. ACCEPT THE CONSEQUENCES OF YOUR ACTIONS. after all the stress i finally established myself as private music teacher. i've been having a great time so far, i can finally focus on teaching music and nothing else. marco is home! went over to his place for dindin and met up w/ ppl from high school...we all still relatively look the same, then again as we get older our eyes get older too, so maybe we don't notice the changes as much. taking another wicked class at OISE/UT: Teaching Drama in the Senior Division. we get to take off our shoes and play for 3 1/2 hours...yet i'm learning an abundance of useful tools and strategies. i was also officially hired as a supply teacher with the York Region District School board. when ppl ask what i'm doing, and i tell them i'm supply teaching, they're always like "Oh really? Couldn't you get a full time position?" well, duh, but i didn't apply for a permanent position this year...supply teaching isn't such a bad job people!!! i'm mostly teaching music which i'm ecstatic about cuz i didn't get to teach music that much during ConEd...but i can teach math & language out of my ***. not to diss the other subjects, but i wish i had the opportunity to be in music classrooms...oh well...i'm trying to gain more experience, and get to know the different schools and basically shop around for my ultimate teaching placement for sept. 2004. i honestly didn't wanna grab the first contract offered to me and be miserable teaching core subjects. my goal is to be in a high school setting so that's why took my first additional qualification course at UofT just barely 3 weeks after graduating from York. plus, i'm also serving/bartenending @ Kelsey's 2-3 times a week and teaching privately 3-4 days a week. it's my "transition year". why do i feel like i have to justify what my decisions to other people? (sorry my highlights turned into a rant...)

take a deep breath...anyways...also went trick or treating w/ amanda the angel, alex the lady bug and ethan the wizard. had a blast w/ ly, ate agnes & rené...eating lots of chocolate...oops, i mean spending some nice quality time w/ my cousins and Godson. like they could have eaten all the candy, chocolate & chips anyways...the big kids are allowed their share of the goods!

i'm baaaaaaack

THE PRINCESS IS OFFICIALLY BACK!!! I FINALLY HAVE A NEW COMPUTER!!! I AM CONNECTED LIKE THE REST OF THE WORLD!!! it's true, the old family computer has finally been put to rest...after being revived numerous times and thanx to rené's temporary donation of his printer and monitor. you don't know how many times york university has been grateful for that darned (printer even though the margins are permanently screwed up)!!

so...anyways...i didn't fall off the face of the earth, i didn't get abducted by aliens or move to cuba...just had some technical difficulties is all. so what the hell am i supposed to blog about...there's so much to write...yet i haven't got a clue where to start. let's begin w/ cuba...had a wicked time on my "family fun vaykay". there was a bit of drama and my contact lenses suck a$$ but got a great tan...still have the leftovers surprisingly! even though it was all inclusive we made it a point to tip at every meal and boy were they grateful. i don't know if we over-tipped (if that's even a word) but our family was treated like gold. felt like a real princess! honestly though, the people were so kind and welcoming and boy do they love their canadians. loved the city of havana...sorta sad how the poor live among the rich, sorta like in the philippines. lots of history...lots of music...lots of rum...or should i say RON! my favorite part: da pool! i could be in there all day. one day there was a huge rainstorm that came out of nowhere, people left the pool in search of shelter but some of us just stayed in. the rain was so warm! it was so much fun swimming in the rain, it was like a scene out of a movie! i'll write more later...gonna post some pics!
