marcella's housewarming

marcella has a new house!!! yesterday i went to marcella's housewarming in good old Pickering...it was great seeing her again after over a year! mete & i thought she fell off the face of the earth! holla to the Markham Gateway crew!!! little did we know that she bought a house and got a new job teaching special needs kids at a school in the T-dot. but it's so weird, it felt like university was only yesterday...and now we're going to housewarming parties. come to think of it, that was prolly my first housewarming party ever (not including family members of course). it just really puts things in perspective. we're getting older. it kinda sucks. but it's also going to be quite an exciting time of our lives as well...engagements, weddings, housewarming, travelling, kids...oh wait...no kids...at least not yet!!! but in all seriousness, where did the time go?

dress shopping with the unit of 3

had a great few days when karen was visiting from seattle last week...hmm...what did we do? oh yeah, eat, shop, talk, eat, shop, talk...lol. started off @ Jack Astor's to chow down on quesadilla, chicken fingers & calamari. the place looks so much better now that they renovated. i dig the black decor w/ the funky smirnoff ice bottle chandeliers. then off to "browse" at wedding dresses...i really did have the intentions to simply look at different styles & prices...but then we spotted a strategically placed ad for SposaItalia (at a bus stop of all places) and decided to head north to the boutique to check things out. the lady waited on us like princesses. some of the other places were so dry...

um...yeah, thanks. anyways, at the last place the lady asked what styles preferred, what fit my body well, what price range i was looking at etc...and she pulled out about 4 dresses out of the huge mirrored closets surrounding the brightly windowed room...with couches i might add...and out of the 4 i tried on...i found THE ONE!!! i can't believe it...i actually bought my wedding dress in one afternoon of shopping, only 5 boutiques & 12 dresses later (i am known for being a tad indecisive). but i did have a stellar pair of judges with me who provided honest criticsm throughout the day...

so merci, merci et merci à lisa et karen! my bestest friends in the whole wide world....awwww.

couzin's night out

forgot to mention the first ever "Couzin's Night Out", supurbly (sp?) organized by avic through the magic of Evite. it was pretty cool to have almost all (the youngins stayed home) the cousins, ages 18-33, out for a family jam w/out all the parents. all 13 of us: cristina, john, danny, ed, mai, avic, paul, joanna, lyana, mark, agnes, rene et moi dined at Casey's...despite the ultra-crappy experience we had the Casey's downtown...& then headed over to Colossus to watch "Bourne Supremacy". the girls liked it way more than the boys did...i wonder why...*ahem* Matt Damon. all the boys talked about was the over extended car chase scene. i mean it was awesome, but really, a 10-15 min car chase...yawn. then we loitered in the parking lot dancin to mark's array of ring tones on his cell...& paul's lame "Hockey Night in Canada" ring tone until we all parted ways...

my brand new template

it's so friggin' late (closed @ kelsey's tonight, i smell like chicken wings...how attractive is that?) but i've finally finished editing my new template.  isn't it pretty? thanks to lnp's help...thanks for all putting up with all my questions...i can finally comment and upload pics! yay me! now that i am quite content with the set-up, i'm going to put more effort into updating this thing...did you hear that burbur...i am actually going to update on a regular basis...well, i'll try my best.
